GNOME Photo Printer is back
After some time, i managed to get GNOME Photo Printer back online again. The links to the packages remained but the website link has changed. You can find the newest versions at the right menu-bar under projects and GNOME Photo Printer.
Also, i removed the german description of how to use gimp for making panoramo pictures. The description was outdated and there exist some good programs (hugin and Panorama Tools) which will assist the user by creating panorama views.
Hello!
Excuse-me for my english..but i’m italian!
I try to use “gnome Photo Printer” to print for examples 4 photos in one page…but..it doesn’t work well, ’cause i have (in preview) 4 pages and not 4 photos in 1 page!!!!!

@Vanex: you need to reduce the size of an image in the layout tab. Try it out and you will see it in the print preview.
@author of GNOME Photo Printer: is it possible to print photos without a border? WHen I place 4 photos on 1 page, all photos have a white border – even though I reduced the borders to “0” on the paper tab. IN additon, all 4 photos a shifted to the lower left. I hoped to place all 4 photos evenly placed on the page without any white borders.
Hi there
I have translated GNOME Photo Printer to Swedish. Can you include that one?

since I can’t find where’s your email address on this blog, please find in http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/media-gfx/gpp/files/
patches applied on top of gpp 0.7 to make it pass make check and compilation with -Wl,–as-needed (see http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/asneeded.xml for details on what it is)
I’m looking for a good photo-printing util for Linux and I came across gnome-photo-printer. I had no trouble making version 7, but when it comes to print time, I get this, when I start it from terminal to see what’s going on in the background:
** (gnome-photo-printer:7869): WARNING **: Could not set value of “Backend” to “lpr”
** (gnome-photo-printer:7869): WARNING **: IPP request failed with status 1030
I have the mentioned dependencies installed (libgnome, etc). I use Fluxbox, but run other Gnome apps. What am I missing?
Hey, it just printed. It just took. a. really. long. time, is all.
Fantastic! It looks like I just need to tweak the layout and sizes. So far, anything else I’ve used printed useless thumbnails on my Photosmart D5300.
