{"id":156,"date":"2013-07-10T19:02:59","date_gmt":"2013-07-10T19:02:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.realfogman.de\/?page_id=156"},"modified":"2013-09-12T18:54:16","modified_gmt":"2013-09-12T18:54:16","slug":"symmetric-power-supply","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fogman.de\/?page_id=156","title":{"rendered":"Symmetric Power Supply"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, \u00a0I have finished my project, regarding a symmetric power supply for my other projects.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, it consists of a transformer\u00a0in the right side of the picture. The transformer\u00a0delivers 2&#215;15 Volts with 1 Amp each. On the secondary sides are two symmetric power supply&#8217;s from Velleman (K8042) and one\u00a0self\u00a0built power supply including a Voltmeter based on an Atmega8. One Velleman ps\u00a0is fixed\u00a0to +\/-15V, whereas the second\u00a0ps\u00a0is\u00a0variable and controlled\u00a0by the\u00a0potentiometer on the front panel. Furthermore, in the middle of the picture are different power (fixed) supply&#8217;s with +\/-5V and +3.3V and +2.5V. Again, the Atmega8 is used as a Voltmeter to measure the \u00a0output from the variable symmetric power supply. This is done via a resistor voltage divider.<\/p>\n<div>\n<dl id=\"attachment_157\">\n<dt><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fogman.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/PS_oben.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Power supply top view.\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fogman.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/PS_oben-300x199.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Power supply top view.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<p>The second picture shows the front view of the power supply. Here, a comparison between the internal Voltmeter and an external one is made.
