Basically I have the same display and needed the negative voltage in order to generate the contrast voltage, as described in the threads. A nice tool which does all the needed calculation is found\u00a0<a title=\"MC34063 calculator\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nomad.ee\/micros\/mc34063a\/\">here<\/a>.
